Conway Symphony Orchestra Guild plans Designer House Touch of Class

The Conway Symphony Orchestra Guild will present an all-star lineup of design and cooking classes with a Designer House Touch of Class from Wednesday, Sept. 7, through Saturday, Sept. 17. Designer House, presented by the CSO Guild, is back for 2016 with a whole new twist. Instead of visiting just one house and viewing the work of a handful of designers, individuals will have a chance to take an interactive class with instructors. Held in intimate settings with limited availability for each class, the topics will range from outdoor design and cooking to homebuilding tips and more.

“Designer House Touch of Class is a unique opportunity to learn from a talented group of local, community design and culinary experts,” said co-chair Lindsay Henderson. “The lineup of classes offers a variety of options that is sure to appeal to most anyone.”

Some of the class titles and presenters:

The Wonderful World of Architects and Architecture, presented by Steve Hurd

Olive Oil 101, presented by Nicole Cypert

Landscape!, presented by Barry Williams

Refresh Remix Restyle, presented by Chris Olsen

Interiors by Tom Chandler, presented by Tom Chandler and Associates

Re-Form Design+Build, presented by Lance Johnston

Local Designers on E-Commerce: The Inked Elephant and Sarahndipity, presented by Sarah Mitchell

Tickets are $100 each and include two class registrations and admission to the Sippin’ Soiree Kickoff Party on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at UCA Downtown (1105 W. Oak Street).

"The winetasting preview Sept. 6, staffed by local celebrities and guided by wine columnist and professional taster Lorri Hambuchen, will be a ‘don’t miss’ opportunity to learn about wine varietals and pairings and get a glimpse of the coming classes,” said co-chair Julie Adkisson.

Class registration is available on a first come, first served basis.
