Conway school foundation launches endowment campaign

An organizational meeting is planned 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at Conway High School. There will be a brief reception with refreshments followed by a program to outline the campaign and responsibilities.

"The foundation has received tremendous support from the community and we feel that this campaign will take the organization to the next level," said foundation president Arch Jones.

"The CPSF has launched a fundraising campaign to grow the endowment of the foundation to $1 million. To reach this goal, we must raise $500,000. The CPSF exists to provide resources to help teachers help students."

Bunny and Carold Adcock are co-chairmen of the campaign committee. Other steering committee members include Johnny Adams, Richie Arnold, Scotty Bell, Bo Conner, Tom Courtway, Sue Farris, Dr. Terry Fiddler, David Grimes, Brad Hegeman, Ritchie Howell, Arch Jones, Sonja Keith, Aaron Knight, Brad Lacy, Beckye Ezell, Kenne Ketchside, Nick Lasker, Linda Linn, Cornell Maltbia, Dr. Greg Murry, Ray Simon, Jami Smith, Jeff Standridge, Beau Wilcox, William Wofford and Andrea Wood,

At the Jan. 15 meeting, individuals will be given information on the Foundation, hear what the Foundation funds are used for, be given instructions on how to solicit contributions and be given an opportunity to select five or six names to call.

More than 100 individuals have been recruited to serve on the full campaign committee. "We have begun reaching out to individuals to help in this special effort but more volunteers are needed," Bunny said.
