Conway Regional hosts Tribute Tree lighting

Conway Regional Health System hosted its annual Tribute Tree lighting in December.

The Tribute Tree gives individuals an opportunity to honor or remember someone special with donations benefitting the Conway Regional Health Foundation scholarship funds.

The tree is lit each year in early December and remains lit throughout the holiday season.

During the ceremony, Jim Lambert, president and CEO at Conway Regional, welcomed guests and explained the history of the Tribute Tree.

Bob Gant, chairman of the Conway Regional Health Foundation Board, recognized endowed lights. Charles Nabholz was honored in 2010 with an endowed light by Jack and Cheryl Engelkes.

Entertainment was provided by the True Holiness Saints Center “Pastor’s Council,” a group of men that Pastor Cornell Maltbia mentors.

The foundation currently administers 10 scholarship funds that assist area students pursuing a career in a health-related field. The scholarships are funded entirely by contributions from the medical staff, board, employees and the community.
