13 Nov 2013 Conway Cyclones to begin new season
The Conway Cyclones will begin a new season Saturday, Nov. 16.
The team is part of the largest professional sports league in the country, the American Basketball Association. With more than 90 teams across the country, the ABA is a growing league with phenomenal talent and opportunities.
Established in 2011, the team started out strong by dominating its division and winning the South Division Championship. Over the next two seasons the Cyclones continued to improve and eventually earned a spot in the Final 8 to compete for the ABA Championship.
Owned by an Arkansas resident and veteran of the United States Army, the team is comprised mainly of players from Arkansas, but also draws players from around the nation, and even some internationally.
To the Cyclones it is more than just basketball; philanthropy is an important aspect of the organization. The Cyclones have teamed up with the Boys and Girls Club of Faulkner County to provide assistance. In addition to helping the Boys and Girls Club, the staff has volunteered time at schools around the area for various reading programs.
As the Cyclones journey into third season of exciting and fast-paced basketball action; join them for a family friendly gathering for their first game!
