Conway County Library, G.R. Hoelzeman Studios plan Artists of the Galaxy

The Conway County Library, in partnership with G. R. Hoelzeman Studios, will host and present an Artist of the Galaxy program this month. The event will celebrate science fiction-themed art by local and regional artists.

The event will kick off with a costume contest at the library for individuals to dress up as their favorite superhero or scifi/fantasy character. Local artists will judge the event and prizes will awarded for best costumes. The event will then resume at the Rialto Gallery with an art talk by local artists Ninjaink (Timothy Lim), Jason Politte and John Lucas. A presentation of an art demonstration with John Lucas and NinJaink will then take place, and both artists will have finished artwork to auction. A group cosplay contest and an awards presentation will round out the afternoon.

The event will culminate with a laser light show/dance provided by DJ C.G. F-ect.
