01 Feb 2016 Conway County Library celebration
At noon Wednesday, Feb. 10, the Conway County Library will host a Lunch & Learn in its year-long Centennial Celebration.
In February, the decade theme is Prohibition. Sherrie and Ken Sowers from the Movie House Winery will discuss their business, the art of winemaking and lead a discussion on how Prohibition affected and changed the lives of Americans.
The Movie House Winery will also be February’s sponsor and will be offering a wine basket as that month’s gift basket. They will also be doing the Witt Cabinet this month, so make sure to stop by the library and check out their handiwork.
The Friends of the Library will have light refreshments available.
The event is part of the library’s year-long Centennial Celebration, offering programs and gift basket drawings each month, which have been thematically divided into decades corresponding to the previous 100 years.
February’s theme covers 1920-1930 and Prohibition was selected as the theme as it was the most prominent event of that decade.
Contact the library at 501.354.5204 for information on monthly themes or for any other questions regarding the year-long Centennial Celebration.
