28 Apr 2025 Conway Corp wins Reliability Excellence Award
CONWAY — Conway Corp has received the prestigious Certificate of Excellence in Reliability from the American Public Power Association (APPA), recognizing the company’s commitment to providing dependable electric service to the Conway community.

This national honor is awarded to public power utilities whose System Average Interruption Duration Index (SAIDI) ranks in the top quartile of all utilities, based on data reported to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) from 2019 to 2023. The award considers SAIDI performance both including and excluding Major Event Days (MEDs) to provide a well-rounded measure of utility reliability.
Conway Corp reported an average power outage duration of 35.91 minutes, significantly outperforming the national average of 120.30 minutes. Additionally, Conway Corp customers experienced an average of 0.59 outages, compared to the national average of 0.78.
“We very much appreciate the APPA recognition; it confirms the benefits of the things that we do every day to provide outstanding reliability to our customers,” Conway Corp CEO Bret Carroll said. “Our electric department builds a high-quality distribution system. They aggressively manage the vegetation that can negatively impact reliability, and when we have an outage, they work very hard to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. They make us proud every day.”
The APPA’s Certificate of Excellence in Reliability celebrates utilities that consistently outperform national averages and exemplify best practices in delivering reliable electric service.
