Conway Corp executives named Cablefax honorees

CONWAY — Conway Corp Chief Executive Officer Bret Carroll and Chief Marketing Officer Crystal Kemp have been named Cablefax 100 honorees by Cablefax Magazine. Carroll is being recognized for the fifth consecutive year while Kemp is a second-year honoree.

The publication covers business developments affecting the cable, broadband and digital markets. Cablefax’s annual list salutes and ranks the most influential executives whose leadership continues to advance and elevate our industry.

In the magazine, the Cablefax editors recognized Carroll’s leadership of Conway Corp and how after establishing an internal governance program, the company included more than 20 new initiatives, including new data and safety processes. He was also praised for his “boots on the ground” approach to the most detrimental windstorm in Conway history in June 2023. The storm caused more than 7,000 Conway residents to be without power.

“It is an honor to be recognized with other colleagues that provide great leadership for our industry,” Carroll said. “However, the real honor belongs to the Conway Corp team, without them, this recognition would not be possible; they serve our customers with excellence every day. That means more to me than anything else.”

While Kemp serves Conway Corp as the Chief Marketing Officer, she was recognized by the editors of the magazine for the leadership, training and guidance she provides across the entire company. As she focuses this year on priorities such as improving customer experience and journey mapping, she reflected briefly on receiving this honor.

“I have met some of the smartest, most innovative people during my time in the cable and broadband industry,” Kemp said. “It is an honor for me to work with so many of them and Conway Corp and across the country. I am humbled to be included in this list for a second year.”

Kemp is in her most comfortable element while serving others. She was a Girl Scout leader for 18 years, has volunteered more than 20 years with the Conway Area Youth Leadership Institute, a Circle of Influence leader for the University of Central Arkansas Women’s Leadership Network and most recently an advisor for Level Up Arkansas, an organization focused on providing women in business with impactful resources and support.

Carroll has been with Conway Corp for 25 years, serving as Chief Financial Officer prior to being named Chief Executive Officer in 2017.

Kemp joined Conway Corp in 2000 as marketing/communications coordinator and was promoted to marketing and public relations manager in 2010 and to her current role in April 2018.
