24 Nov 2025 Conway Corp earns APPA Excellence in Public Power Communications Award
CONWAY — Conway Corp was recognized among more than 50 public power electric utilities and utility organizations nationwide that earned Excellence in Public Power Communications Awards from the American Public Power Association (APPA).

The awards were presented in November at APPA’s Customer Connections Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah. Conway Corp received an Award of Excellence in the Print/Digital category for its 2024 annual report.
“Good communication is imperative in our personal and professional lives,” Conway Corp Chief Executive Officer Bret Carroll said. “In today’s fast-paced world, timely and effectively communication is absolutely critical for the success of any business. I am extremely thankful for the work that our Marketing and Communications teams do every day that has resulted in this well-deserved reward.”
APPA’s annual Excellence in Public Power Communications Awards recognize utilities that demonstrate outstanding achievement in strategic, creative and effective communications. Entries are judged in three categories:
- Print & Digital
- Web & Social Media
- Video
Awards are given to organizations that show ingenuity and creativity in telling their stories through:
- Strong and engaging copy
- Effective design and layout
- Clear and accurate financial data presentation
- Compelling graphics
- Social media engagement and strategy
- High-quality video production and editing
- Intuitive web layout and interactivity
“I am so proud of the work our Marketing and Communications team does to tell the Conway Corp story,” Conway Corp Chief Marketing Officer Crystal Kemp said. “Our annual report is one way we share how we serve our customers and our community. This recognition from APPA is a reflection of their dedication and Conway Corp’s commitment to serving our customers with excellence.”
Conway Corp’s 2024 annual report highlights the company’s reliability, financial responsibility and community investment. It combines performance and financial data with customer-focused stories and visuals. The report was designed by Marketing Coordinator Bradley Thompson with support from Marketing & Communications Manager Beth McCullough Jimmerson. Communications Coordinator Yaunica Peten wrote all copy, and Marketing Project Coordinator/Event Specialist Margaret Smith coordinated the community events featured in the report.
The American Public Power Association is the voice of not-for-profit, community-owned utilities that power 2,000 towns and cities nationwide. APPA supports public power utilities with advocacy, education and recognition programs like the Excellence in Public Power Communications Awards.
