Conway Co. Library to host lunch

As part of its continuing Centennial Celebration, the Conway County Library will present a “Cars of the Fifties” Lunch and Program at noon Wednesday, May 11.

The guest speaker will be Buddy Hoelzeman from the Museum of Automobiles, and he will not only be speaking about the cars during that time period, but also the impact the modern interstate system and roads made on American travel plans. He will also speak about the impact that roadside attractions and diners had on travelers.

The museum will also present a model car kit as the May gift basket drawing.

Also, Sam Lasuzzo will be doing a mini car display of 1950s automobiles in the Witt cabinet display. The Pathfinders will offer light refreshments.

Call the library at 501.354.5204 for more information on this or any other upcoming programs.
