Conway ArtsFest seeks entries for city hall art exhibit

As part of ArtsFest’s 10th annual festival — ArtsFest X: Conway Marks the Spot — the Conway Alliance for the Arts (CAFTA) will host an art exhibit at Conway’s City Hall from Thursday, Sept. 15, through Saturday, Oct. 15.

Artists are invited to submit one to three artworks addressing the theme Monday, Aug. 1, to [email protected]. Two dimensional, three dimensional and performance art is welcome.

A jury will select a maximum of 12 artworks for display in Conway City Hall. First prize winners from two categories, youth (under 18) and adult (over 18 as of Aug. 1), will receive a prize package. The public will also select a “fan favorite” for display. Voting will take place Friday, Aug. 5, to Monday, Aug. 15, on CAFTA’s Facebook page facebook.com/ConwayArtsFest. The entry with the most likes will win the fan favorite category. All winners will be notified by Monday, Aug. 22.

Photographs of entries should be submitted via email at [email protected], and should include the artists name, age category, email address and phone number. For performance art please submit a video sample of two minutes or less.

Chosen performers will be given specific times to perform on Saturday, Oct. 1, during ArtsFest’s Art in the Park. Each artist is welcome to submit one to three artworks. They must be ready to hang/display. Art will not be for sale.
