Concerts planned at Harding

The Harding University Department of Music will present concerts featuring the wind ensemble, Jazz Band and jazz combo.

7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, wind ensemble

Reynolds Recital Hall

Under the direction of Dr. Michael Chance, the wind ensemble will present “Americana,” music alluding to the many emotions and attitudes reflecting national heritage. The group will perform selections such as “Military Symphony in F” by Francois Joseph Gossec, “The Star Spangled Banner” arranged by John Williams, and “An American Elegy” by Frank Tichelli.

Reynolds Recital Hall

Under the direction of Drs. Andrew Cook and Wes Parker, the Jazz Band and jazz combo will perform various styles of music including selections by Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Lee Morgan.
