07 Feb 2014 Community invited to prayer conference
Mayflower United Methodist Church is inviting the community to a “Christian Conference on Life Changing Prayer” on Friday, Feb. 21, and Saturday, Feb. 22.
The conference is free of charge to participants but a love offering will be taken to help defray the travel expenses of the guest speakers.
The Friday prayer service will begin at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary. Saturday begins at 9 a.m. with a light breakfast in the fellowship hall followed by worship in the sanctuary. Lunch is at approximately noon in the fellowship Hall, and is provided. After lunch, worship will resume with Holy Communion in the sanctuary and closing prayer about 3 p.m.
The conference leader will be Nancy Scott of Malvern and additional guest speakers will be the Rev. Treccie Cook, retired pastor from Searcy, and Sheila Terrell of Murfreesboro. These spirit-filled ladies have been a blessing to so many.
All are welcome. To ensure enough food is prepared, individuals are asked to register by emailing [email protected] or calling 501.442.5045.
The church is located on Hwy. 89N in Mayflower, at the corner of Miller and Grove, just in front of the Boys and Girls Club and adjacent to the elementary school. Overflow parking is available nearby.
