18 Nov 2024 Cole appointed Associate Vice Chancellor for Advancement at ASU-Beebe
BEEBE — Arkansas State University-Beebe is pleased to announce the permanent appointment of Andrea Cole as the associate vice chancellor for Institutional Advancement.
“Andrea’s deep commitment to our work on the campuses of ASU-Beebe in unmatched. Her wealth of experience, work-ethic, and collaborative nature are assets to ASU-Beebe. We are fortunate to have her leading the Institutional Advancement team.”
Cole, who has served as the interim associate vice chancellor for the past several months, previously served as the development officer for major gifts, where she led successful fundraising efforts, including the renovation of the Centennial Bank Gymnasium and the naming of the Jeannie Lindsey Basketball Court. Her leadership in these projects reflects her dedication to improving the campus and student experience.
Cole has also played a key role in organizing significant events, such as the largest alumni reunion to date, the Community Tree Lighting Ceremony, and the Total Solar Eclipse event across all ASU-Beebe campuses. She has co-chaired the lecture concert series, managed the Vanguard Mini-Grant program, and provided guidance to the Development Councils for both the Beebe and Heber Springs campuses. Additionally, she serves on the ACC Conference Advisory Board and led the Beebe Chamber of Commerce as president in 2023-24.
Under Cole’s leadership, private scholarships at ASU-Beebe have grown substantially, increasing from $30,000 in 2018 to over $100,000 in recent years. Her contributions have earned her multiple awards, including the SGA Outstanding Staff award in 2019, the ASU-Beebe Outstanding Staff award for 2024-2025, and the Beebe Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year award in 2022. In 2024, Cole was recognized as one of 501 Magazine’s “Five-Oh-Ones to Watch.”
An alumna of Beebe High School, ASU-Beebe, and ASU at Jonesboro, Cole is deeply connected to the community. She is married to Joseph Cole, a retired Air Force veteran, and together they have three children and two grandchildren.
As the permanent associate vice chancellor for advancement, Cole is honored to continue leading efforts in fundraising, marketing, alumni relations and public and community engagement across all ASU-Beebe campuses. Her commitment to supporting educational opportunities is evident in her work overseeing private scholarships and other advancement initiatives. The Institutional Advancement Office, located in the Ruth Couch Center on the Beebe campus, plays a key role in managing fundraising efforts and coordinating on-campus and community events.
