City Year swears in 20th class of AmeriCorps Members

LITTLE ROCK — City Year Arkansas today held a swearing-in ceremony for its 20th class of AmeriCorps members, officially marking their start of service as student success coaches in the Jacksonville North Pulaski and Little Rock School Districts. The Opening Day event kicks off a year of community-focused celebrations in recognition of the education nonprofit’s two decades of impact in Central Arkansas.

“Just as our AmeriCorps member classes continue to grow, so too does our impact on students, schools and the community,” said Jennifer Cobb, senior vice president and executive director of City Year Arkansas. “We are excited to support these ‘red jackets’ as they embark on a life-changing experience—for themselves and for those we serve.”
