15 May 2013 CHS hosts senior night for soccer teams
Conway High School recently hosted senior night for members of the girls and boys soccer teams.
The senior girls:
Molly Hilburn (No. 21)
Molly has played soccer for 12 years, including four years in high school. She lettered two of those years.
Molly is the editor of the Conway High School yearbook and a member of the Beta Club and Caring Cats.
She plans to attend Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and major in journalism. She was escorted by her parents, Craig and Christy Hilburn.
Katie Larson (No. 2)
Katie has played soccer for 15 years and lettered one year while playing high school soccer.
Katie plans to play soccer at Hendrix College in Conway, where she will major in psychology. She was escorted by her parents and sister, Tammy Tucker, Liz Larson and Olivia Larson.
Sydney Meyer (No. 25)
Sydney has played soccer for 15 years, with four on the high school team. She lettered each year.
Sydney is a K-Life small group leader and a member of Caring Cats and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Sydney plans on playing college soccer at Hendrix, where she will major in biology, international relations or English. She was escorted by her parents, Dana Meyer and Brian Wade.
Hannah Ray (No. 13)
Hannah has played soccer for 13 years, three of those in high school. She lettered one of those years.
Hannah is a member of HOSA—Future Health Professionals, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) and Beta Club.
She plans to attend the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville to study business. Hannah was escorted by her dad and stepmom, Jeff and Susan Ray.
Alexa Reed (No. 20)
Alexa has played high school soccer for three years and lettered two of those years.
A member of Delta Beta Sigma and president of FCCLA, she plans to attend Ouachita Baptist University and obtain her master’s degree in special education. She was escorted by her parents, Michael and Debbie Reed.
The senior boys:
Ryan Davis (No. 16)
Ryan has played soccer for 14 years and has lettered in high school two years.
He was escorted by his parents, Robert and Patricia Davis.
Geoffrey Gough (No. 2)
Geoffrey has played soccer for 13 years and has lettered in high school for three years at Conway Christian and this year with the Wampus Cats.
He plans to attend Ouachita Baptist University and major in pre-dentistry. Geoffrey was escorted by his parents, Greg and Alicia Gough.
Logan Hampton (No. 11)
Logan has played soccer for 14 years and has lettered in high school soccer all four years.
He is a member of the National Honor Society.
Logan plans to attend Ouachita Baptist University, where he will play on the college soccer team. He plans to major in accounting. He was escorted by his parents, Logan and Susan Hampton.
James Keith (No. 6)
James has played soccer for 11 years and has lettered in high school three years.
He plans to attend Ouachita Baptist University, where he will continue to play soccer and major in accounting.
James was escorted by his parents, Tom and Sonja Keith.
Andrew Massey (No. 21)
Andrew has played soccer for 14 years and lettered in high school all four years.
He will attend the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and major in construction management. He was escorted by his mother, Emily Dumas.
Victor Ramirez Ruiz (No. 7)
Victor has played high school soccer for four years and lettered every year.
He plans to attend the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton and major in automotive collision repair. He was escorted by his mother, Ramona Ruiz.
Luis Enrique Silva (No. 4)
Luis has played soccer for 15 years and high school soccer for three years.
His favorite high school memory was the day he scored a goal against Little Rock Central High School. “I lifted my shirt because I had a shirt of my friend Jose that passed away three years ago. I looked up in the sky and it started raining. It felt great scoring for him and I bet he was happy too.”
Luis was escorted by his parents, Miriam Delgado and Martin Medina.
Matthew Williams (No. 8)
Matthew has played soccer for 14 years and has lettered in high school soccer all four years.
Matthew is a member of the Future Business Leaders of America.
After graduation, Matthew will attend the University of Central Arkansas and major in nursing. He also plans to attend nurse anesthetist school. He was escorted by his parents, Alan and Kris Williams.
