13 Jul 2016 CHDC plans fishing derby

The Conway Human Development Center will host a fishing derby at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, July 30, at the CHDC Pond, 150 E. Siebenmorgen Road.

The event is hosted by the CHDC Volunteer Council and proceeds benefit the development of the CHDC Nature Trail.

The derby is open to individuals 12 and younger (accompanied by an adult) or community individuals with developmental disabilities. Anglers should bring their own fishing equipment, buckets and bait/supplies. There is a three fish take home limit.

First, second and third place prizes will be awarded at 10:45 a.m.

Early registration is $5 or $10 at the gate (opens at 6:30 a.m.). Registration forms can be downloaded at Chdconline.wix.com/conwayhdc. In the event of rain, the event will be held Saturday, Aug. 6.

A snack bar will be available.
