CBC soccer sweeps AMC Offensive Players of the Week

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – For the second consecutive week, Central Baptist College has swept the American Midwest Conference player of the week awards in soccer. Vitoria Loiola and Daniel Pinkney were named AMC Offensive Players of the Week on Monday.

Loiola earned her second award of the season and the second of her career after registering nine points in Tuesday’s win over UHSP. Loiola scored a hat trick and contributed to the other three goals in Tuesday’s 6-2 win over UHSP to give CBC three wins in the AMC this year. She was previously AMC Athlete of the Week back in August.

Pinkney scored a brace in Tuesday’s 2-2 against the Eutectics. His first goal tied the match and his second goal gave the Mustangs a brief lead in what ended up being their third draw of the AMC season.

Pinkney and men’s soccer return to the pitch tomorrow at 1 p.m. against AMC rival Hannibal-LaGrange.
