CBC soccer schedule listed

Central Baptist College Director of Soccer Operations Lance Gordon recently announced the 2019 schedule for the men’s soccer team at CBC. The schedule, which begins on Tuesday, Aug. 20, includes just six home contests at the Centennial Soccer Complex.

“I am really looking forward to the 2019 season with these players,” said Gordon. “We have great numbers to create a challenging environment every day in practice and competition for playing time should be fierce.”

The season begins at 6 p.m. Aug. 20 when the Mustangs will head across town to Warrior Field to take on Hendrix College. CBC will continue on the road for the rest of August with trips to LSU-Alexandria and Central Christian College of Kansas, a former Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference rival. 

On Sept. 7, CBC begins the month with a trip to Evangel. The season-opening six-game road trip concludes on the Sept. 17 with a visit to American Midwest Conference rival Williams Baptist. The Mustangs will play the first of their home games on the Sept. 21 against Lindenwood-Belleville. The month’s final road match of takes place on the Sept. 24 when the Mustangs head to Batesville for an AMC matchup with Lyon. On Sept. 28, CBC will play host to Hannibal-LaGrange.

A trip to Harris-Stowe State begins October on the 1st before CBC returns home to take on Missouri Baptist, the defending AMC tournament champions, on the 5th before stepping out of conference for the final time to face off with UCA on the 8th. 

Senior Day will be on Oct. 12 when the Mustangs host the No. 22 Cougars of Columbia, the defending AMC regular-season champions and their second straight home game is on Oct. 15 against William Woods. The final two road games of the season happen on the 19th and 26th, respectively, when CBC will travel to face Park and St. Louis College of Pharmacy before returning home to end the regular season on Oct. 29th against Freed-Hardeman.
