CBC Men’s Basketball releases 2025-26 schedule

CONWAY — Central Baptist College men’s basketball coach Cody Henson has announced the 2025-26 schedule for his Mustangs. The 26-game slate includes 12 games in front of the home fans inside A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse.

The season begins at home on Oct. 23rd when CBC hosts in-state rival Philander Smith. Two more games in October happen on the 30th and 31st when the Mustangs head to Olathe, Kan., for the MidAmerica Nazarene Tournament where CBC will take on the hosts and Evangel over the two days.

The first game in November is a road game in Texas at Dallas Christian on the seventh followed by a game the next day at Wayland Baptist in the first game against former head coach Clint Galyean. The road trip wraps up on the 15th when CBC tangles with John Brown at Bill George Arena in Siloam Springs. A home stand comes next with games on the 21st and 22nd against Freed-Hardeman and Dallas Christian before a pair of games end the month at Philander on the 25th before MidAmerica Naz makes a trip to Conway on the 29th.

December contains four games, including the first two American Midwest Conference tilts of the season. The Mustangs head to Henderson, Tenn., on the sixth to face Freed-Hardeman before returning home for three straight games with Harris-Stowe visiting on the 11th, UHSP coming to town on the 13th , and the final game of 2025 one week before Christmas against Dordt.

2026 opens with a conference clash against Mission in Missouri on Jan. 6 before the Mustangs head to Hannibal-LaGrange on the eighth. A road game against Crowley’s Ridge follows on the 15th before the Mustangs welcome Columbia to Conway for homecoming on the 17th. Another home contest follows on the 22nd against Williams Baptist before CBC ends the month with road contests at UHSP on the 29th and at Harris-Stowe on the 31st.

February begins with three straight home games with Mission coming to Reddin on the third followed by a visit from Hannibal-LaGrange on the fifth. The final home game of the season is on the 12th against Crowley’s Ridge before CBC ends the regular season with road games at Columbia on the 14th and at Williams Baptist on the 19th.

“The tough schedule begins early for us,” said Henson. “I think that’s going to prepare us well going into conference play. Encompassing our entire schedule together should prepare us to make a run to the national tournament. I’m all about preparation and I want to prepare to win a conference championship and win a conference tournament and it starts with our non-conference. We have a lot of really good opponents that we are playing, mostly on the road, and it’s going to force our guys to grow up really quick.”
