15 Oct 2025 CBC knocks off Ecclesia for second straight win

CONWAY — Playing for the third time this week and the second time at home, Central Baptist College men’s soccer hosted the Royals of Ecclesia College on Saturday at the Conway Soccer Complex. CBC (3-5-1) made two second-half goals to beat EC (4-3-2) 2-0 and extend their streak of not allowing a goal to 190 minutes.

Hayes Lawrence broke the scoreless deadlock in the 69th minute, his first goal of the season, to make it 1-0 and Victor Alvarez secured the second goal in the 81st minute. Alvarez’s goal was his third of the season and was assisted by Jared Nunes for his first assist of the season. Jasper Gadellaa posted his third clean sheet of the season, stopping the only shot he faced.

CBC returned to American Midwest Conference play this week in Springfield, Mo.
