CBC finished second at AMC Championship

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Entering the final round in second place, Central Baptist College men’s golf looked to make history at the American Midwest Conference championship at the Jefferson City Country Club. CBC shot a final round 287, the low round of the day, to secure second place with an 889, 32 strokes behind the winners, Columbia.

Individually, Leopold Maes, who earned AMC Honorable Mention honors, shot the lowest round of the day, closing with a 68 to finish at 216 overall, one shot behind the winner in a tie for second. Jakub Slapal, who was an AMC second team selection, finished with a 71 to shoot a 223 for the tournament, tied for eighth with teammate Emmanuel LaBeur, who was also an honorable mention selection.

Kitsakon Jairak, who also earned second team recognition, shot a final round 74 to finish with a 228 and Paul Gomez shot a final round 81 for a 236. Preston Nestorenko, who was the Champion of Character, finished with a total of 234 as an individual and Suraprat Pareepart finished with a total of 237 also as an individual.
