Central Baptist College recently hosted its Eighth Annual Benefit Dinner and Auction.
This year’s event began with a fish fry on the grounds and a silent auction.
After the dinner, the event moved inside to the newly renovated Burgess Auditorium for a live auction and fishing seminar with legendary bass fisherman Larry Nixon. Affectionately referred to as “The General,” the Bee Branch native is one of the most respected anglers in tournament bass fishing history.
Proceeds will benefit the CBC Fishing Team and Vision 2020. Event totals are still being calculated, but it is estimated that the event raised in excess of $25,000. Contributions may still be made.
