19 Jun 2024 CBC announces 2024 volleyball schedule

CONWAY — Central Baptist College head volleyball coach Halee Hensley has announced the 2024 schedule for the Central Baptist Mustangs. There are 22 games on the schedule including a scrimmage against Arkansas-Monticello, and an Alumni game. Home fans can attend 11 games at Reddin Fieldhouse. 

“I created a schedule focusing on preparing for American Midwest Conference matches,” said Hensley. “We have matches against two solid (NCAA) Division II schools. I believe that team will do damage in the AMC.” 

The season begins on Aug. 27 when CBC heads to Mississippi to take on the Toppers of Blue Mountain Christian University. 

The scrimmage against UAM in Monticello follows on the third of September, followed by the Alumni match at Reddin on the seventh. The regular season home opener is on the 10^th against Lyon which is followed by a road match in Little Rock on the 12^th against Philander Smith. The Mustangs return home for back-to-back Tuesday matches, the first against Harding on the 17^th and the next against Champion Christian on the 24^th,before CBC wraps the month with their AMC road openers at UHSP on the 27^th and Harris-Stowe on the 28^th. 

October begins with a trip to William Woods on the third and continues with a trip to Cottey on the fifth. CBC then plays four of their next five matches at home, beginning on the eighth against Philander Smith. Following the PSU match, the Mustangs head to Hot Springs for the return trip to Champion Christian on the 10th before hosting Blue Mountain Christian on the 11^th. The final two home matches of the stretch are against AMC rivals Missouri Baptist on the 18^th and Hannibal-LaGrange on the 19^th. Three consecutive road matches follow as CBC heads to Crowley’s Ridge on the 22^nd for an AMC match, followed by another AMC contest at Williams Baptist on the 24^th. The Mustangs head to Batesville to take on Lyon on the 29^th before wrapping the month with a home match against new AMC opponent Mission University on Halloween.  

CBC’s two November contests are home matches with AMC rivals Columbia on the eighth and Stephens on the ninth. Times for each match are listed on the schedule page.
