25 Sep 2023 CARTI eases access to breast cancer screenings with Mammograms & Muffins

LITTLE ROCK – CARTI is bringing back Mammograms & Muffins to ease women’s access to lifesaving breast cancer screenings. The events, held throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, will include convenient Saturday clinics in Russellville, North Little Rock, Little Rock and Pine Bluff.

“Early detection of breast cancer saves lives,” said Dr. Smith-Foley, breast imaging specialist and founding physician at The Breast Center at CARTI. “Whether out of fear or a lack of time, our goal with Mammograms & Muffins is to help remove the obstacles women may face in receiving their annual screenings.” 

Mammograms & Muffins will take place at the following CARTI Cancer Centers on weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon.

Russellville: October 2-7 at 209 South Portland Avenue

North Little Rock: October 9-14 at 3400 Springhill Drive

Little Rock: October 16-21 at 8901 CARTI Way

Pine Bluff: October 23-28 at 5001 Bobo Road 

Those interested in scheduling an appointment during Mammograms & Muffins can complete the pre-registration forms here. If unable to participate in October, individuals may still self-select to have their yearly mammogram at The Breast Center by calling 501-537-MAMO or 833-323-MAMO.
