13 Oct 2014 Car show honors fallen officer

The second annual Officer Will McGary Memorial Foundation Car Show will be held Saturday, Oct. 18, at Valley Baptist Church in Searcy.

McGary was a Conway police officer who died in February 2013 from injuries he suffered when he was struck while directing traffic at an accident.

Registration for the car show begins at 9 a.m. with judging about 11 a.m. Judging will be by other car show participants within their own class. The “People’s Choice” winner will be determined by purchased tokens. Awards will be presented at 3 p.m.

There will be 12 classes for the show, determined on Saturday. There will be an emergency response vehicle classification for police, fire and medical vehicles.
Concessions will be available for purchase.

Sponsors include Classics Unlimited of Cabot and the Searcy locations for First Security Bank, East Park Autoplex, O’Reilly Auto and China Star.
