Locally grown strawberries were the big draw at the 9th Annual Cabot Strawberry Festival.

Held at the Cabot Community Center, the festival was sponsored by the Junior Auxiliary (JA) of Cabot and included more than 40 vendors, carnival rides, a kids zone, an all-age pageant and food.

With more than 10,000 people attending this year’s event, there was a 100 percent increase in the funds raised for JA projects. JA sponsors nine events throughout the year that are specifically designated for the children of the Cabot area and include BUCKLE BUDDIES, a child safety seat event in participation with Arkansas Children’s Hospital; SMILE, free dental screenings; and CHRISTMAS BLESSING, presents to underprivileged children.
