20 Feb 2012 Blackbird Academy hosts Masquerade Ball
In addition, organizers are expanding the event with a Family Masquerade Carnivale the night before the Ball.
The Family Carnival will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, complete with carnival games, a live D.J. provided by Boom Town Entertainment, line dancing, art projects, cotton candy, popcorn and entertainment for the whole family.
Entrance is $3 per person with game tickets available for purchase at the door. Feel free to wear a mask or come dressed as a carnival character!
The Masquerade Ball Carnivale event for adults will be on Saturday and will feature live music by Katmandu, dancing, heavy h’orderves, drinks, a silent auction, games of chance and carnival entertainment.
Tickets are $40 for the general public and only $35 for Blackbird parents. Dress for the event is cocktail or formal and masks are encouraged!
Blackbird Academy of Arts, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization formed to give all persons in the greater Conway area opportunities to experience and take part in artistic endeavors. Its primary mission is to provide a solid foundation of quality arts education to anyone with a true desire to cultivate their inner and outer artistry.
Staff currently instruct almost 300 students of all ages in music, creative writing, dance, theatre, digital filmmaking, sewing, and visual arts, as well as offer extensive artistic programming throughout the year.
As a not-for-profit organization, Blackbird Academy of Arts, Inc. is working to provide more arts opportunity for less cost to our community.
All proceeds from the Family Carnivale and the Masquerade Ball Carnivale will go directly into Blackbird’s arts education programming.
