Big Buck Classic returns to fairgrounds

The Arkansas Big Buck Classic returns to the Arkansas State Fairgrounds Friday, Jan. 23, through Sunday, Jan. 25.

Live animals, tree stands, deer blinds, outfitters, clothing, boats, fishing equipment, exhibits, demonstrations and activities are all part of the annual event.

The Big Buck Classic offers a place for outdoorsmen to observe hunting success from around Arkansas. The Arkansas State 4-H is hosting the “Natural State Clubhouse” at the event this year with many activities for kids. There will be a free bow fish shoot, archery shoot, bait casting simulator and much more.

Many prizes will be given away including cash prizes and hunts. A Bad Boy Buggy from Bradford Marine and ATV is awarded to the overall winner in the Big Buck contest. There is no charge for parking on the fairgrounds site.

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will be selling its centennial cookbooks and history books at the event, as well as T-shirts and hats.

  • 1 to – 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23.
  • 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24.
  • 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25.
