National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week is held each year the week before Thanksgiving.

This year, Bethlehem House in Conway is partnering with local churches to bring that awareness to a community level through its annual Empty Bowls event.

“We are inviting churches throughout Faulkner County to join this fight by hosting their own Empty Bowls event for their congregation,” said executive director Judi Lively, adding that proceeds will be used to support the work of Bethlehem House.
