22 May 2024 Bears race to NCAA West First Rounds

CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas Bears Men’s and Women’s Track & Field teams are sending athletes to the NCAA West First Round this coming week.

 The meet started yesterday and continues through Saturday and is held at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.  

To represent the women’s team, Raghan Allen is competing in the 200m dash with a qualifying time of 23.37. She will compete on Thursday at 8:45 p.m.

Raghan Allen holds the UCA record in the 200m with the qualifying time of 23.37.

The women’s 4×100 relay team will be competing in the quarterfinals with a qualifying time of 44.52. They will be competing on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. 

The relay team consisting of Kendelle McCoy, Raghan Allen, Troynelle Miller,  and Ciara Tucker hold the UCA record with the qualifying time of 44.52.  

To represent the men’s team, Armonte Paulk is competing in the 400m race with a qualifying time of 46.40. He will compete on Wednesday at 7:25 p.m. 

Armonte Paulk holds the #8 spot on UCA’s top-10 records list. 

The men’s 4×100 relay team will be competing in the quarterfinals with a qualifying time of 39.67. They will compete on Friday at 5:00 p.m. 

The relay team consisting of Kobe Gill, Jake Green, TyJuan Huffman, and Wesley Suen hold the UCA record with the qualifying time of 39.67.
