Bears add Harding’s Marshall

CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas Bears picked up another transfer in Rylie Marshall from Harding University, according to head coach John Shulman.

Marshall, a 6-foot-2, 170-pound guard from Beebe, Ark., played three seasons for the NCAA Division II Bisons and was a two-time All-Great American Conference selection who helped the Bisons win the 2025 GAC Tournament and advance to the NCAA D-II Tournament.

Marshall averaged 14.0 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists while shooting 44.7 percent from the field and 37.8 percent from three-point range as a junior at Harding. He connected on 65 three-pointers to tie for the team lead.

“Rylie is an Arkansas guy, and we have made it clear that we value this state and the quality of basketball that is here,” said Shulman. “From playing for his father, Coach Ryan Marshall at Beebe, to continuing his college career for Coach (Weston) Jameson at Harding we know that he has been coached.

“We had heard about Rylie and his competitive nature from several people. Once it became known that he was looking to move to the Division I level we spent a lot of time watching his tape. It was very clear that Rylie has the competitive edge to him that we look for. He is an elite shooter that can make tough ones and proved in Harding’s conference tournament run that he can make big ones.

“After hearing the praise that Coach Jameson had for Rylie, it was clear that his skill set, competitiveness, and toughness would fit in perfectly here at Central Arkansas with what we are building.”
