Fairfield Bay will celebrate the Third Annual BayFest Street Festival beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27.

Featuring something for everyone, this festival is a pet- and family-friendly event that packs in a ton of activities all day long, including games, parades, music and street festival fare. A portion of the proceeds from food sales will benefit the Fairfield Bay Animal Shelter.

“It’s a thrill to see how excited people are for an old-fashioned street festival,” said festival chairman Dan Feuer. “Crowds this year can expect the same great activities we had last year, with even more food and crafts booths, pet parades and pet activities, great music and fun that the whole family can enjoy all day long. It’s like being part of the neighborhood.”

A myriad of street vendors – from arts and crafts to plants and clothing – will be set up at the Fairfield Bay Village Mall. The event also includes a pet parade. The festival music will include performances by Faith Over Fire and Remnants.

CSI Roofing will present Big Shane Thornton, an Arkansas boy who loves to get behind his bass guitar, piano or an old flattop acoustic, and let his heart pour out. Shane has been singing and performing as long as he can remember. At age 12, he used to sneak in to sit in with his step-dad’s band and he was hooked. Not long after, he started writing his own songs. Shane is the kind of writer who puts his heart into every song, not only because he feels the song deserves it, but he shares his heart with the rest of the world.

Shane released his first album with Oblivion Records in 2011 and is working on a new album that he is producing himself. He has shared the stage and recorded with several well-known artists, including Lee Brice, Florida Georgia Line, Dierks Bentley and Joe Diffie. “I’m just a big old teddy bear that has been very blessed and I’ve made a lot of really good friends,” he said.
