03 Sep 2012 Basic, advanced photography classes planned
“Photographer: Learn the Basics” and “Photography: Advance Your Skills” will be presented by 501 LIFE photographer Mike Kemp through the Outreach program at the University of Central Arkansas.
The basic photography course provides novice photographers with a solid understanding of the basic functions of the camera, film or digital, and reveals pointers and techniques for improving photos in a variety of settings, including sporting events, portraits, candid family moments and low-light photography.
The class will be held 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, Sept. 5, through Oct. 10.
“Photography: Advance Your Skills” will be held 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, Oct. 17 through Nov. 28. (There will not be class on Nov. 21.)
Those attending will learn how to perfect subject approach and capture brilliant images. The concept of pre-visualization of a photo will be introduced and photographers will learn more about metering, portrait lighting and other advanced photography concepts.
The classes will meet at Brewer Hegeman Conference Center on the UCA campus. For more information or to register, visit campusce.net/ucaoutreach.
