Nearly 30,000 were on hand to take in the beauty of 25 hot air balloons during the Legends Balloon Rally in Hot Springs.

Held in September at Hot Springs Memorial Field Airport, this unique outdoor event began in 2008.

This year’s rally was held over two days and featured 25 balloons representing Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Texas, Kentucky, Ohio and Mississippi. A highlight of the rally was the magnificent balloon glow.

The 2012 dates are Friday, Sept. 21, and Saturday, Sept. 22.
