Back to school Farmers Market in Morrilton planned

MORRILTON — Main Street Morrilton presents the Main Street Morrilton Third Thursday Farmers’ Market at Holyfield Place, 120 N Moose Street, in downtown Morrilton, Thursday, August 15, from 4-7 p.m. Moose Street and Commerce Street will be closed to through traffic from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  

Several vendors will be offering discounts and freebies for educators who present their school ID (while supplies last). There will also be a free Peachwave Yogurt softserve cup available for the first 50 educators to visit the food truck. 

This month, Main Street Morrilton will welcome Jessie Burgener and Holly Burgenerto the main stage at Holyfield Plaza from 4:30 to 7:30 pm. The duo, known as St. Cecilia, plays a variety of popular and country music covers. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the show! 

Big Cuppa, Two Guys Hibachi, and Mary’s Bakery will be open late for food. Clover Alley, Creed Marie Boutique, Merle Norman, The Shoe Company, and Wahrmund Farms storefronts will remain open until 7 p.m. and offer special promotions.
