12 Aug 2013 Auditions held for the Royal Players production of Frankenstein
Auditions will be held for the Royal Players production of Frankenstein at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, Saturday, Aug. 24, and Monday, Aug. 26, at the Royal Theatre, 111 S. Market, Benton.
The production, directed by Randall Earnest and sponsored by the Middlebrooks family, is set for Thursday, Oct. 17, through Sunday, Oct. 20, and Thursday, Oct. 24, through Sunday, Oct. 27.
There will be cold readings from the script. The director would like to hear a short monologue of the actor’s choice, but this is optional.
The production is based on the 1930s Universal movie with a little updating; script is by Fred Carmichael. There is a small role for a young girl, but the other characters are adult: 10 men and seven women (including the child).
As usual, it is the appearance of the age of the actor, rather than actual age, which is important. After Sunday, Aug. 18, there will be information available at 501.315.5483.
