23 Jan 2023 ASU-Beebe signs proclamation for MLK Jr. Day

BEEBE — On Jan. 17, Arkansas State University-Beebe Student Government Association President Zayd Kelley and Chancellor Dr. Jennifer Methvin, signed a joint proclamation recognizing Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023, as Martin Luther King Jr. Day at ASU-Beebe. 

The proclamation encourages the Vanguard community to recognize the holiday through various acts of service as ‘not a day off but a day on.’ Kelley said, “By signing the proclamation, ASU-Beebe commits to allow students to engage with their communities and do what Dr. King envisioned as a better America.”
