28 Mar 2022 Art Jam Arts & Music Festival planned for Greenbrier

Art Jam 2022 in Greenbrier will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., April 23 at Matthews Park in Greenbrier.

The event will bring visual and performing artists together in a day of festivities featuring lively music, exhibits, hands-on activities and demonstrations.

Free to the public, there will be museum exhibits, student art exhibits, a community weaving project, kids’ activities and a silent auction. 

Its purpose is to raise money to fund a scholarship for a student pursuing a degree in visual or performing arts. All proceeds benefit the Greenbrier Area Arts Council Scholarship Fund. 

“The arts are just as important as any other subject,” said Ann Harrod, a teacher from the Greenbrier School District.

“Research shows that students who participate in art programs have improved concentration, memory, decision making and critical thinking skills. We are excited about the fine arts scholarship that Art Jam will provide.”
