13 Mar 2023 Arkansas PBS hopes to gain 2,023 members
CONWAY — Arkansas PBS has issued a challenge to gain 2,023 new members by June 30 in order to receive a challenge fund of more than $23,000 provided by current individual donors and Arkansas businesses.
“Each and every hour of programming on Arkansas PBS is made possible by support from viewers,” Arkansas PBS Foundation CEO Marge Betley said. “We count on the generosity of our members to create and secure the programs Arkansans love, hour after hour and year after year.
“If you’re already a donor to Arkansas PBS – thank you! We couldn’t do it without you. And if you’re not, now is the perfect time to join, and help us meet our 2023 New Member Challenge goal. Our challenge fund currently sits at more than $23,000, and we know it will continue to grow in the coming weeks – just as our community of new members will grow along with it.”
Donors are encouraged to challenge their friends and family members to help meet this goal by sharing personal invitations, sending emails and posting on social media outlets.
Members who donate $5 or more monthly as an Arkansas PBS Sustainer receive the added benefit of Arkansas PBS Passport, the best value in on-demand streaming and a rich library of public television programming. From Arkansas PBS originals to special extended – and often early – access to PBS favorites, Arkansas PBS Passport members can watch online or through mobile and streaming devices. Current and upcoming Arkansas PBS Passport specials include “Miss Scarlet & the Duke,” “All Creatures Great and Small”and the upcoming final season of “Sanditon.” Arkansas PBS Passport also includes the documentaries of Ken Burns, nature specials, cooking programs and great Arkansas storytelling through Arkansas PBS local productions. Other membership levels include:
- A gift of any size receives the electronic version of the Arkansas PBS monthly member magazine (with email address).
- Passport Level – $60 annually or $5 monthly.
- Sustainer – any amount monthly of $5 or more.
- Ambassadors Circle – $500.
- Directors Level – $1,000.
