Arkansas Homefurnishings Association hosts 96th Annual Golf Tournament

LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Homefurnishings Association (ARHFA) recently celebrated its 96th annual Fun Fest Dinner and Golf Tournament, attracting the largest number of members and guests in over ten years. This year also marked a special milestone — 50 years of hosting the event at Maumelle Country Club — where attendees gathered to enjoy a day filled with fun, food and fellowship.

Highlights of the Fun Fest Dinner included award presentations honoring outstanding retail associates, interactive games and prizes provided by the Arkansas Road Runners. The event also raised funds for the ARHFA Scholarship Fund which supports annual scholarships for association members, employees and families.

Participants enjoyed a festive atmosphere, pleasant weather, a visit by Arkansas Lieutenant Governor Leslie Rutledge, and food prepared by Randy Lann, Dallas Cowboys’ Official Grill Master and former ARHFA Executive Director. “We are beyond excited with this year’s turnout and look to expand on those numbers for next year’s tournament,” said Association President Perry Jackson.

“The foundation of the ARHFA originated with leaders from the Arkansas furniture industry who gathered to play golf and exchange ideas. We are proud to acknowledge our beginnings while also offering networking opportunities for our members to share innovative concepts to improve the industry,” said ARHFA’s Executive Director, Kevin D. Steele.

For more than 96 years, the Arkansas Homefurnishings Association has helped furniture manufacturers and retailers by providing legal support, protection from unfair taxes, education, business opportunities, financial programs, and networking events. To learn more, visit arhfa.com.
