Arkansas Arts Council invites applications

Applications are open now for Central Arkansas creatives to participate in Artist INC LIVE, an eight-week, professional-development workshop series that provides professional development skills to creatives. The deadline to apply is Jan. 17.

The upcoming program will be the first, in-person Artist INC LIVE session sponsored by the Arkansas Arts Council, which means up to 25 creatives may participate for free. The move to bring Artist INC Live to Little Rock and surrounding areas comes after the creative industry was dramatically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, starting in 2020.

The Artist INC Live program has once-a-week sessions that are led by local, professional creatives who deep dive into the needs, challenges and successes of Arkansas creatives. Sessions will include conversations and information about strategic planning, communications, branding, budgeting, marketing and funding.

The content is created and administered through the Mid-America Arts Alliance, a regional arts organization. The sessions will be held Tuesdays from March 28 to May 16 at Brandon House Cultural & Performing Arts Center on Colonel Glenn Road in Little Rock.

The Arkansas Arts Council also offers other free workshops, including What Works, Artist INC Express and GetSmART! Learning Series workshops.
