06 Jan 2016 Aquakids break records at Pro-Am Elite Meet
Nine Aquakids swimmers recently competed at the prestigious Pro-Am Elite Meet in Edmond, Okla., under the leadership of Coach Tony Marleneanu.
This year was one of the fastest meets in the history of the Pro-Am Elite where the majority of the meet records were broken. With only four girls and five boys, Aquakids Swim Team girls finished 10th and the boys finished fifth in the rankings. In the combined team scores, Aquakids placed seventh out of 27 teams.
Many team and state relay team records were smashed by Aquakids. From a total of 56 individual swims, 46 of them were personal bests for the Aquakids with several swimmers making the finals.
AJ Mainord and Aaron Rieth made A finals in the 200 fly and 200 back. Elam Fulton and Bailey Roscoe also made finals. Emily Holman, Adrienne Robinson, Elam Fulton and Bailey Roscoe set a new team record for the girls 800 free relay.
Aaron Rieth, AJ Mainord, Harrison Dawson and Jackson Wiedower broke the record in the 400 free relay, 800 free relay, 200 medley relay and 400 relay. Aaron Rieth set a new team record in the 400 IM for the 15- to 18-year-old boys. AJ Mainord set new team records in the 50 breastroke and 100 breastroke for the 15- to 18-year-old boys. The 100 breast was a 13-year-old record.
Emily Holman, Adrienne Robinson, Elam Fulton and Bailey Roscoe placed second in the 800 free relay. Aaron Rieth, Jackson Wiedower, AJ Mainord and Harrison Dawson also placed second in the 800 free relay.
Individual performances included:
Senior Harrison Dawson got A times in the 100 free and the 500 free. He made the finals in the 500 free and 200 breast.
Elam Fulton got an A time in the 200 breast, AA times in the 100 free, 200 free and the 100 breast. She made a AAA time in the 50 free. Fulton made finals in the 50, 100 and 200 free and the 100 breast.
Emily Holman got A times in the 200 free and the 100 and 200 breast. She got AA times in the 50 and 100 free.
AJ Mainord got AA times in the 50 free, 200 breast, 200 back, 200 and 400 IM, and 200 fly. He made finals in the 100 and 200 breast, the 200 back, the 200 IM and the 200 fly.
Ethan Marotte got A times in the 100 and 200 breast, and AA times in the 50 and 100 free, and the 100 fly.
Aaron Rieth got AAA times in the 100 and 200 free, the 100 and 200 back, the 200 fly, and the 200 and 400 IM. He made finals in the 200 free, the 100 and 200 back, the 200 fly, and the 200 and 400 IM. Reith finished fourth overall in the 400 IM.
Adrienne Robinson got an A time in the 100 fly, AA times in the 50, 100, and 200 free, and a AAA time in the 500 free. He made finals in the 200 and 500 free.
Bailey Roscoe got A times in the 100 and 200 back and the 200 fly, and she got AA times in the 50, 100, and 200 free and the 100 fly. She made finals in the 200 free, 100 and 200 fly, and the 200 back.
Jackson Wiedower made A times in the 50 and 100 free.
The drop of the meet goes to Adrienne Robinson, who dropped 8 seconds in the 500 Free.
