04 Jan 2017 Annual family run for Arkansas Children’s Hospital
The Garland County Circle of Friends Chapter, a group of individuals working to raise funds and awareness for Arkansas Children’s Hospital, will host the Second Annual Jockey Jog Competitive/Family Run, 5K at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, in Hot Springs.
Participants can expect fun for the whole family in addition to the family fun run and 5K. Activities, games, hot cocoa and more will be available.
This event is being held in honor of Bryce Briggs, who was a patient of the Arkansas Children’s burn center. Bryce leaves a legacy of always putting others first. His love of people, sports and the outdoors will forever be remembered.
Pre-registration is $35, and $40 on the day of the race. Packet pickup will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, at Deluca’s Pizza at 407 Park Avenue. Packet pickup on race day will be from 9 to 10 a.m.

Last year, there were more than 424,400 patient visits in FY15 at ACH including 10,935 from Garland County. This year, Circle of Friends chapters across the state hope to raise a combined $800,000 to support the hospital.
