05 Jun 2015 Adults and kids invited to color at the library
It is summer at the Faulkner County Library, and the fun isn’t just for the kids! Come on down and de-stress with the latest trend: adult coloring.
Coloring promotes wellness, quietness and also stimulates brain areas related to motor skills, the senses and creativity, according to the Huffington Post. The trend is growing in North America and in countries across Europe.
Adult coloring promotes mindfulness, and allows individuals to disconnect from the phone, the computer and TV. Or maybe it’s just a chance to hearken back to a simpler time.
Join us from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays through July 28.
The library will supply coloring pages and pencils, but individuals are welcome to bring their own.
All library events are free and open to the public.
