ACF marks 10th anniversary

The Faulkner County office of the Arkansas Community Foundation recently celebrated its 10th anniversary with a reception at Nabholz Construction Corp. in Conway.

“When people get engaged, connected and inspired, there’s no limit to what they can accomplish,” said executive director Julie LaRue. “We are here to celebrate 10 years of the Arkansas Community Foundation having a local office with a local board serving the needs of Faulkner County! We are here to celebrate the good that we have been able to do in our community by working together.”

Eric Hutchison, chairman of the group’s advisory board, said the local office now has 45 funds with assets of more than $2 million. “Our Giving Tree Grant program has grown from $2,500 in grants to nonprofits in 2003 to $25,000 grants this year,” he said. “Together with the grants from our endowment funds, we have granted more than $650,000 back into this community.”
