501DER WOMAN 2026: Gale Sasser

For Gale Sasser, a life of service is not just a career path. It is a calling lived out every day. For more than 42 years at Conway Human Development Center, Sasser has dedicated her work to improving the lives of those she serves. As the health program manager for the intensive training team, she ensures clients receive personalized care through comprehensive evaluations tailored to their unique needs.

“It’s fulfilling to know they are receiving the intensive care they need to improve their quality of life,” she said.

Sasser approaches her work with a steady commitment to compassion and faith.

“I hope that in my interactions, others can see and feel the genuine concern I have for them to succeed and that I represent Christ by how I treat others,” she said. That mindset has shaped not only her career but also the relationships she has built along the way.

Family is at the heart of everything she does. She finds joy in her husband, three daughters and five grandchildren and in passing down the values she learned from her mother.

Sasser describes her mother as the ultimate Wonder Woman, a woman who balanced work, family and faith while teaching her children to love others and serve with purpose.

Her advice to younger women is rooted in experience. When you work within your calling, it no longer feels like work. Instead, it becomes a blessing. She encourages others to pursue what they are passionate about and to lead with compassion and empathy.

After more than four decades of service, Sasser continues to show that a life centered on grace, purpose and people leaves a lasting impact.
