501DER WOMAN 2026: April K. Rogers, ESQ.

April Rogers took her passion for helping others, nurtured by her parents as she grew up, and used it as a foundation for her career and law practice. “My biggest goal when I represent a client is to make sure they feel seen and heard regardless of their current circumstances,” she said. “I often encounter people in some of the most difficult times in their lives. I choose to see the humanity in everyone I encounter. I find it fulfilling to use my skills to solve problems.”

Rogers said she honed many of her natural abilities during college when she joined the debate team and started thinking of a career in law. She was also a high school teacher for a time, which deepened her passion for helping others.

While she is very proud of the not-guilty verdicts, she is also taken aback each time she stands in court to represent a client. “I stand on the shoulders of my ancestors and the women who paved the way for me,” Rogers said. “And I don’t take my responsibilities lightly.”

Her compassion for others has extended to her personal life, as she and her husband were foster parents and adoptive parents. “Our experience has blessed us beyond measure in connecting with families in our community. Witnessing reunification of hard-working parents with their children that they love deeply has been some of the most rewarding moments of my life,” Rogers said.

She appreciates the strong sense of community in Central Arkansas and the welcome she received with open arms from other strong women leaders in the community. Her advice to younger women? “You belong. There are people much less qualified who have made it in spaces simply because they believed they belonged,” she said.

Rogers said she wants to continue to grow her business and provide quality, compassionate legal services to her community.
