The dream of winning a high school state basketball championship is still alive for many teams in the 501.
In Class A boys’ action, the Sacred Heart Rebels will face off against Mammoth Springs at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, while Wonderview and Kingston will meet for the girls’ championship at 8:45 p.m. on Friday.
The England Lady Lions will represent the 501 in the 2A championship game against East Poinsett County at 3:30 p.m. today.
The Pulaski Academy Bruins will challenge Clarksville for the boys’ 4A state title, tipping off at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday.
The 5A boys’ state championship game features two 501 teams in Sylvan Hills and Little Rock Mills and will begin at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday.
Both the boys and girls from Little Rock Parkview will represent the 501 in their respective 6A title games, with the boys facing Jonesboro at 3:30 p.m. on Friday and the girls meeting Russellville at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
Finally, the 501 has two chances to take the Class 7A title in the Little Rock Hall Warriors and the Cabot Lady Panthers. Little Rock Hall will face Fayetteville at 7 p.m. on Friday while the Lady Panthers will take on Fort Smith Northside at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
All games will be played at Summit Arena in Hot Springs. 501 Sports Extra wishes all athletes the best of luck this week.
