The June edition of 501 LIFE will be highlighted Thursday on the KARK Channel 4 noon show.

The June “Traveling the 501” edition will be featured on the KARK Channel 4 noon show on Thursday.

Each month, 501 LIFE publisher and editor Sonja Keith presents information about that month’s issue. Features selected from the June “Traveling the 501” edition for inclusion in the segment include:

COVER STORY – School is out and summer is nearly here, offering a perfect time to travel and explore the 11 counties in the 501.

501 LIFE contributor Jan Spann shares with readers some of the places in the 501 where you can enjoy the outdoors and the scenic beauty that we are blessed with in Central Arkansas.

NEIGHBORS – Two World War II veterans – Al Hiegel and Don Dover – recently traveled on an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. where they were able to visit memorials in honor of our military.

SPORTS – 501 LIFE contributor Peggy Kemp has a really interesting story about the Searcy Savage Sisterhood – a group of women who have taken up roller derby.
